Spring Sandbass Bite Is Hot in Oklahoma—Limited March Dates Available

Thursday, 3-19-2026. I am just getting around to posting this. I had Grant, ShyAnn, and their sons Mason and Jacob out for some afternoon catch-and-release Sandbass action. We started off a little slow, but with a change in my presentation of baits, I got them fired up. With multiple triples and doubles, the action was on fire for a good portion of the trip. Took this beautiful woman out to catch some Crappie this morning. We caught 45 or so. It was all catch and release. Caught fish from 8’-20’ of water on brush. 
This was Lana’s first ever crappie trip, it didn’t take her long to figure out the different bites and start slinging them in the boat.
