Oklahoma Fishing Reports

Oklahoma Fishing Experience

Fishing conditions across Oklahoma are currently excellent. Clear water and stable temperatures are making for productive days on the water, especially during the early morning and evening hours. Rodney’s Guide Service continues to see strong activity at some of the state’s top fishing spots, where fish are active and bite patterns are consistent.

Striped Bass have been especially active in the mornings, with Hybrid Striped Bass and Catfish also showing up in good numbers. Trolling with live bait like shad or using crankbaits has proven effective. Anglers targeting deeper water are doing well, and fish are responding steadily to natural movement and well-placed casts.

Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass are holding around structure and reacting well to crankbaits and soft plastics. With the water clarity improving, these bass are easier to spot and more likely to strike when approached carefully. White Bass are also feeding in groups, particularly during low-light hours, and jigging spoons continue to deliver solid results.

For those planning a trip, early mornings and late evenings offer the best chance of success. Live shad, minnows, and artificial lures such as jigs or crankbaits are recommended. A valid Oklahoma fishing license is required before joining a trip. Book your day on the water with Rodney’s Guide Service to take advantage of this ideal window for catching quality fish.

Skiatook Lake - Osage, OK Fishing Report on 22nd Jun, 2026 - 2

Saturday 6-20-26 I had Todd, Shelley, Robby, and fletcher on beautiful lake Skiatook. Fishing wasn’t great but it was definitely good. Hitting a nice steady bite where everyone was catching. It was a morning full of laughs with this crew. We were catching in 45’ of water on live Shad on down lines. We came up a couple of fish short of limits for everyone but we managed a few cats to ad to the box. Thank you Todd for choosing my guide service

Keystone Lake - Pawnee, OK Fishing Report on 23rd Jun, 2026

Sunday, I had the annual father-son trip with Aaron and his boys, Garrett and Cole. We hit my first spot and didn't see what I wanted to see; the wind was starting to rock, so I moved to spot number two. I found a small group of fish and decided to give it a try. We got our lines set out, and boom, it started. The boys were pulling fish over the rail - hybrids and catfish - and then Mother Nature stopped by, bringing wind, lightning, and rain, so we called it. What an amazing morning we had. Thank you, Aaron, Cole, and Garrett, for another great father-son trip. See you guys next time.

Keystone Lake - Pawnee, OK Fishing Report on 24th Mar, 2026 - 3

Thursday, 3-19-2026. I am just getting around to posting this. I had Grant, ShyAnn, and their sons Mason and Jacob out for some afternoon catch-and-release Sandbass action. We started off a little slow, but with a change in my presentation of baits, I got them fired up. With multiple triples and doubles, the action was on fire for a good portion of the trip. Thank you, Grant, for bringing the family down. It was a very fun and exciting trip full of laughs. I still have some dates left for some Sandbass Action. 918-691-5008. P.S. Sorry for the photo dump.

Keystone Lake - Pawnee, OK Fishing Report on 11th Aug, 2024 - 2

Took this beautiful woman out to catch some Crappie this morning. We caught 45 or so. It was all catch and release. Caught fish from 8’-20’ of water on brush. This was Lana’s first ever crappie trip, it didn’t take her long to figure out the different bites and start slinging them in the boat. @followers Lowrance Power Crappie LLC: Home of Todd Huckabee Rods Keystone Lake Fathead's Bait, Tackle, and More
